Trinity Baptist Children's Center has been serving families in the Santa Monica and surrounding areas for over two decades.
At Trinity Baptist Children's Center we have highly qualified early childhood educators. Our ECE Teachers have the education and field experience necessary to bring quality education to young children. All of our teachers are first aid and CPR certified. We require a clean background check and all of our teachers are fingerprinted. All teachers who work for Trinity Baptist Children's center have love, respect, and appreciation for each child and family in our care.
At Trinity Baptist Children's Center we believe that professional development and education as well as experience for out Teachers is imperative in order to be effective and motivated about teaching. We meet twice a month as a teaching team at Trinity to discuss developmentally appropriate practices and innovative techniques to improve the quality of our program.
Trinity Baptist Children's Center exists to help children develop to their full potential academically. We provide an environment that will enhance your child's Toddler, Pre-School and Pre-Kindergarten experience in a rich, satisfying and constructive way.

The focus in the toddler class (Rainbow) is socialization. The children learn a daily routine that is followed every day. They are also introduced to art, puzzles, music and dramatic play. We begin introducing potty training at 2 1/2 or as the child initiates.
The older toddler room (Butterfly and Ocean Room) is where children go when they are ready to be potty trained and ready to take on more challenges similar to the learning centers that the younger toddlers have. What is added in this class to enhance their fine motor skills is learning to use age-appropriate scissors as well as writing utensils.
The preschool class (3 year olds, Crystal Room) adds a writing center. The children are exposed to letters, numbers and writing with different types of writing utensils. The cooking center is also added for math and science.
In the older preschool class (3 1/2 years old Angel Room). The children learn age-appropriate learning games. The children are exposed to letters, numbers and writing with different types of writing utensils. The cooking center is also added for math and science.
In the upstairs transition room (birthday is after kindergarten cut-off day). The children learn age-appropriate learning games. The children are exposed to letters, numbers and writing with different types of writing utensils. The cooking center is also added for math and science.
The pre-kindergarten classes are doing everything at a more advanced level. They are busy working in centers where the teachers have orchestrated the props, so the children will use their cognitive skills to figure how things work, all by themselves. This gives them a sense of achievement. Basically, they are being prepared for kindergarten. We also introduce the following:
- Writing Name
- Counting to 100
- Recognizing letters and able to know some sounds
- Mastery of fine motor skills to hold a writing utensil
- Utilize the kg readiness packet

In all of the classes we promote and implement conflict resolution. We believe that children need to express their concern about conflicts as well as learn to resolve conflicts with one another.
